Perched upon a knoll above 120 acres of serene pasture, fields, woods, and barns, Summerseat Farm’s gracious, historic manor house ( c. 1884), colorful flower gardens, and gently rolling grounds offer the perfect setting to ensure your event is truly special.
Located in rural St. Mary’s County, MD, Summerseat welcomes you along a quarter mile long, tree-lined driveway leading you away from the 21st century towards a peaceful dwelling, reminding you of times long past.
Beautiful Gardens
The gazebo, patio and brick-paved walkways are an ideal location for outdoor functions weddings. Bordering the courtyard are the old brick smokehouse and dairy house, along with mature boxwoods, with plenty of open, flat grassy areas to accommodate tents. The lovely gardens and a sparkling goldfish pond with a soothing, melodic waterfall, offer a unique setting for the charm and grace of a memorable wedding.
Other Features
Off the courtyard, a newer downstairs wing is ideal for many uses: intimate dinners, meetings, workshops, or classes. With a spacious area which includes twin closets, a vanity table, elegantly appointed adjoining bath, this same wing would serve beautifully as a bridal dressing suite. Upstairs, the groom and his groomsmen can relax in the groom’s quarters which features a private dressing room and lounge.
